Edit 5th Jan : 16:30 gmt.
After response from the developers we can confirm the 17th January release is ONLY for PC / South East Asia.
We appologise for the misunderstanding and hope that whoever mislabeled the press release as ‘PC & Xbox One’ don’t make the same mistake in future.
While staying at the fore-front of gaming headlines is important to us, it also carries the risk of covering news which like this has given our readers the wrong information. Once again we are sorry for the misunderstanding and will do our best to further clarify breaking articles like this (although some would say, labeled as Xbox One on the largest gaming press resource is pretty credible, sadly that’s not always the case.
[[Edited on 5/1: Following a query from a reader, we have reached out to developer Pearl Abyss for clarity on the platforms Black Desert will be launching on this month. The information below was taken from an Xbox One headed press release but there is a suggestion that January 2017 will see a PC only release. We will update you with more information as soon as we have it.]]
Korea’s smash hit MMORPG will be seeing a launch this month on Xbox One. That’s January 17th for those interested.
Developer Pearl Abyss have today announced a way to get in game a week early – for a price.
Purchase the Legendary Pack and Black Desert unlocks on January 10th – just a week from now. You can find your early access options here.
Black Desert is not a subscription based MMO so your early access pack gets you the game itself along with a number of other benefits.
“Black Desert Online is an open world action MMORPG with cutting edge visuals and skill based combat that will redefine how we see the genre. Black Desert Online has the best character customization system of any game that is currently on the market. This feature allows users to break out of the norm and make unique characters that truly represent each and every player. Its intuitive controls, beautifully designed world and extensive lore will excite both newcomers and veterans of MMO games and action RPGs in general. The game has been successfully launched in over 100 countries and has over 8 million registered users.”
Anyone else keen to give this a try?
