PUBG is a Battle Royale shooter that drops 100 players onto an island and challenges them to be the last man standing. Originally released for PC in the Steam Early Access program, PUBG sold over 28 million copies before the full PC 1.0 version was released almost nine months afterwards. Microsoft partnered with PUBG Corp to provide the manpower and experience to bring the title to consoles last December.
Since its launch on the Xbox Game Preview program, it has been very successful, selling over four million copies on the system. Microsoft celebrated the milestone last month by offering players free Battle Points they could use toward loot crates.
PUBG Corp. is still working on the game, rolling out new patches regularly to get the Xbox version to better match its PC counterpart. Even not 100% complete it has still received a great deal of critical and player praise.
This bundle will also include one month of free access to the Xbox Game Pass. The subscription game service offers gamers over 100 Xbox titles for one monthly fee. Recently Microsoft has been taking steps to improve the program including adding new first-party releases to the list of games.
The new bundle is available worldwide via the Microsoft Store or local retailers.
