Yesterday Sammie Kang, Lead Community Manager of the PUBG Corporation revealed that the Battle Royale title had reached four million players on Xbox One. To celebrate the milestone they are giving players bonus Battle Points that they will be able to redeem for cosmetic crates in game.
Anyone who has purchased or purchased PUBG on Xbox One and has created a character before January 31 at 12 AM PST (Feb 1 8:00 a.m GMT) will receive 30,000 Battle Points to purchase cosmetic crates. These bonus Battle Points will be delivered and appear directly in players’ BP accounts (right below their Gamertag) after February 1, 2018, at 12 AM PST (Feb 2 8:00 a.m GMT).
In PUBG’s crate system, the cost of crates becomes increasingly more expensive the more you purchase until you reach the weekly limit of six crates. Starting at 700 for your first crate and increasing all the way to a cost of 7000 points. That means this ‘thank you’ could buy you at least nine crates if you want to blow your Battle Points as fast as possible.
It is an impressive milestone for a game that is in the Game Preview Program and is yet unfinished on the platform. PUBG, which launched onto the Xbox Game Preview program in early December and half of its now four million players purchased within the first 48 hours. PUBG Corp continues to roll out updates every week working on improving the game to match its PC counterpart.
