If you think Ark: Survival Evolved, with it’s already enormous success on the Xbox One, is a big enough thing, you’d be right. It’s a unique title which has captured the imagination of millions of players for a number of reasons.
However, Studio Wildcard are far from resting on their laurels. Back in August, Dev Kits for the title were sent out to certain creative types who had shown an interest in having a go at adding to the game – and come May, two official mods will be making their way to the Xbox One version of Ark: Survival Evolved.
The Center is an alternative game map for Ark: Survival Evolved, created by Ben Burkart. It is double the size of The Island map that Xbox One players have become used to, offering an incredibly diverse range of biomes and differing landscapes for you guys to discover and explore.
Created by Cedric Burke, Community Mod Manager at Studio Wildcard, Primitive+ takes Ark: Survival Evolved in it’s current state but enhances the primitive experience in many ways. It includes more than 100 custom objects, resources and weapons. Elements of diplomacy and economy are enhanced upon, and the mod also introduces a number of Specializations which you can choose to follow including Farming, Building and Hunting. Primitive+ games will be experienced on specific Primitive+ servers.
No official date for these mods to go live on Xbox One has yet been revealed, but we do know it’ll be coming in May so you don’t have much longer to wait!
