Phil Spencer Announces Voodoo Vince Remaster – Coming 2017

It seems as if every day there is an announcement concerning another game remaster, and today is no different. This time though, it involves a little black magic.

Classic Xbox platforming title Voodoo Vince is getting the facelift treatment, along with a few other goodies involved. The original game was released back in 2003, and was fairly well received. Everything that people loved about the original will remain: gameplay, animations, and the comedic voodoo magic all stay put. There are a couple of new additions, however: textures and effects will be updated, achievements will now be present, and, of course, the game will run at 60 frames per second with 1080p widescreen.

Beep Games’ Clayton Kauzlaric, Vince’s original creator, stated that he had wanted to remake the cult classic for a while. Ironically enough, Phil Spencer stated in a 2014 interview that Voodoo Vince was his favorite game he’s ever worked on, and it holds special memories in his heart, as it, “…was the first game my daughters and finished together, where my daughters really felt like they were part of us solving the puzzles in the game.”

With their collaboration, we all will get to experience that same feeling, as Voodoo Vince: Remastered will drop in the first quarter of 2017 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
