It was announced only last month that Carmageddon: Max Damage would be heading to Xbox One, and today we have the all important release date!
June 3rd 2016 is the date to jot down people! That’s the day this automobile wreck-em-up will be released both digitally, and in retail stores as well. The pricing is a pleasant surprise too, launching at just £29.99 / $39.99 / €39.99.
The release is down to a joint effort from Sold Out Sales & Marketing Limited and Stainless Games, and the intention is to deliver a truly global release strategy come it’s June release.
Carmageddon: Max Damage is a new instalment of the cult racing series and offers fans a full tank of vehicular carnage, power-up fuelled destruction and pedestrian pummelling. Players can expect to tear up the road and plenty of unsuspecting bystanders – across a huge mix of campaign races, by going head-to-head in Car Crusher mode, or speeding towards the chequered flag in classic Death Race mode.
CEO of Sold Out, Garry Williams, said, “Carmageddon has an infamous 19 year legacy, it’s a one-of-a-kind franchise, and we felt that a Stainless Games and Sold Out partnership would be no different. We’re delighted to be riding shotgun with Stainless Games on Carmageddon: Max Damage, and look forward to the insanity ahead.”
Publishing Director at Stainless Games, Jason Garber, added, “Working with Sold Out to bring Carmageddon: Max Damage to retail is not only a significant new chapter in the history of the brand and studio, but vitally, enables us to unleash our motoring mayhem upon the console world, across both the physical and digital market simultaneously.”
